Welcome to Queenswood!!

Queenswood of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, was born in March, 1998. Queenswood is a 285-acre, 278 unit community built and developed by Kar-San Development, Ltd. Queenswood includes over 15 acres of common areas, gazebos, picnic areas, and a playground. The main entrance to Queenswood is enriched with a 2 ½ acre stocked pond complete with a lighted fountain.

Queenswood is located on the site of the old Elizabeth City Airport. The former runway was retained in the design of Queenswood providing a majority of the community Greenways. Queenswood has several pedestrian pathways that connect to open spaces that are used as recreational play areas.

Community involvement has made Queenswood the great community that it is today. We have Labor Day and Memorial Day picnics, neighborhood block watch programs, a welcome walk committee, Christmas outdoor decoration contest, community yard sales, and even our own quarterly newsletter titled The Queenswood Chronicle.

In 2007, Queenswood welcomed its 200th property owner. Queenswood is about family and it's about community. Welcome Home !!
